Our Story

Our team is driven by one cause:

To help as many people, help as many other people, win the fight against poverty.

Let’s do more good.

According to some estimates, there are over 1.5 million registered non-profit organizations in the United States alone. These stretch in reach from mom-and-pop style groups to billion-dollar organizations. They engage in causes ranging from rescuing big cats to building libraries to helping service personnel reintegrate into society. Some organizations pull in large sums from corporate sponsors, while others rely on small donations from a multitude of givers.

As Auxylios co-founders, we believe decades of research show that some approaches are more likely to create powerful results in the fight against poverty. We want to know who is engaging in these super-charged activities, and we want to get them as much support as possible.

Ultimately, we are committed to helping effective organizations to build, innovate and invest in doing more good, to help more people, break from the experience of poverty.

Yes, there are charities and nonprofits devoted to a host of other worthwhile activities. And they’re good causes.

But they aren’t our cause.

Our cause is the eradication of poverty.

What a geek.

Almost everyone I’ve met wants to be generous - and importantly, effective - in helping those experiencing poverty. So let’s help those people make a measurable impact.

Let’s help people, help people.

And he’s a good guy as well.

Generosity, giving, donations - is there was a way to prove whether your contribution makes a difference? We’ll give you hard data and research that points very clearly to the effectiveness of certain organizations, so you can have confidence that your contribution has a multiplier effect on helping people experiencing poverty.

Our Values

See the person.

Poverty is not who someone is, it is just what they may be experiencing.

Be embarrassingly honest.

Facts are our friends, even when awkward. We’re big enough to be honest anyway

Be a hero. But not 'the hero'.

We're all just playing our part in the greater, timeless story of people helping people.

Change the generations.

The job is not done until three generations of lives are changed for the better.

Reward the effective.

Not all antipoverty activities are created equal, so let’s support what is proven to work.

Make it easy.

You work hard to bring it in; we’ll work hard to help you send it out.
